Benefits: Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth by Nature’s Gaia (often referred to as “D.E.”) is an off-white talc-like powder that is the fossilized remains of marine phytoplankton. It is often used as a natural flea remedy! When sprinkled on a bug that has an exoskeleton (such as bed bugs, ants, or fleas) it compromises their waxy coating so that their innards turn into teeny tiny bug jerky AND it doesn’t hurt mammals, in fact, we and our pets can eat it. We do eat it!

Suggested Use: There are many different uses that this miracle powder can be used for, such as;

• A facial scrub/mask – Since D.E. is such a fine powder it can make a gentle exfoliant. Since diatomaceous earth is loaded with minerals, and minerals can be absorbed through the skin, making a mask is an excellent way to achieve a mineral-rich diet. You can mix things such as aloe vera, water, milk, or even honey to make a paste.
• Nourishment for Hair/Nails/Bones/Teeth – D.E. is said to have cleansing properties as it is full of silica, along with gelatin and biotin which are essential for building strong, healthy nails and nourishing your hair. Silica plays a big role in nourishing your body. It is essential for the formation of the hard outer enamel that protects our teeth and also helps out bones overall formation and health.
• Pest Control  – Fleas, bed bugs, ants, spiders, ticks, earwigs… the list goes one. When D.E. comes in contact with these bugs it begins to remove the wax on their hard shells and because of their exoskeleton, their insides turn into goo.
